Summary 

This is a contract, remote role. The freelance Senior Health Copywriter will be responsible for day-to-day consumer creative copywriting execution with proficiency in nutrition.  The Senior Health Copywriter will conceptualize and bring fresh, strategic, consumer-friendly, persuasive messages in all types of media for agency clients.

The copywriter will partner with an art director (or other creative team members) to provide conceptual vision and consistently nutritionally accurate communication across a wide range of work, including broadcast, print, digital, and social experiences. 

Potential partners should have excellent communication skills and be a smart, strategic thinker with the ability to conceptually generate ideas. They will see through to execution in partnership with production, strategy, account leadership, and with close mentorship by the Creative Director.





Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian or nutritional expert. Registered Dietitian preferred.
  • Creativity and accuracy. Ability to create consumer-friendly ideas and copy while consistently leveraging your nutritional expertise.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a copywriting role focused on conceptual campaigns, brand development, and activations in the health and nutrition space. Preferably at a creative agency.
  • Skilled in the nuance of communication within the nutrition space. 
  • Ability to creatively craft headlines, sub-heads, and body copy. 
  • Ability to collaborate with the creative agency and the client. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, from concept through completion, under tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in developing high-level brand concepts as well as articulating those concepts in executions across various media channels, from concept through activation.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills, both internally and with clients.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating consumer-friendly, smart, brand-building writing in the health and nutrition space.
  • Positive, collaborative, can-do energy.
  • Lead with a passion for the work, and be obsessive about language and craft.
  • Technically proficient in all of the necessary job-related software and internet applications associated with writing outputs and creative advertising execution
