Mortgage Loan Officer

Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm | 40 hours per week
A Day in Your Life at Peoples Bank:
As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for the origination, negotiation and underwriting of 1-4 family residential real estate loans. You will promote the growth of the Bank by accomplishing business development objectives.
Your Primary Responsibilities Would Include:
- You will respond to direct customer inquiries and in-house referrals regarding residential, construction and multi-family real estate loans.
- You will be providing customer counseling and education regarding individual, multi-family, and construction loans consistent with Bank policies.
- You will ensure proper documentation and compliance with Bank policy, government regulations and secondary market requirements.
- You will be able to approve loans within established commitment authority and recommends loans outside individual commitment authority.
- You will maintain current knowledge of compliance requirements related to individual, multi-family and construction loan production and servicing.
- You will actively participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act Program by identifying methods and opportunities to enhance the Bank’s ability to meet the credit needs of its market area and to support local community development.
- You will be responsible for meeting business development goals.
- You will actively participate in community activities and public relations.
What You Bring to the Team:
- You have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- You may have a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on finance, economics, accounting, or real estate.
- You have a minimum of 2 years’ successful real estate loan origination experience, including underwriting, appraisal review, and processing.
- You may have construction lending experience including construction cost analysis, evaluation of plans and specifications, and construction draw inspections and disbursement.
- You may have experience in real estate appraisal analysis, income property analysis, secondary marketing, and commercial and multi-family real estate loan underwriting.
- You work with minimal supervision and have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- You have strong interpersonal skills including professional etiquette and service mentality.
- You are skilled at business communication, both verbal and written.
- You have a strong professional demeanor and high regard for confidentiality.
- You can travel to other Peoples Bank locations and off-site for meetings and/or training as required.
- You have the ability to model the Peoples Bank Mission, Vision, and Values.

We Offer Competitive Compensation:
Salary Range in WA
Base Salary: $35,942,40 annually
You will receive any commissions earned that are in excess of the guaranteed base salary amount.
