POSITION SUMMARY:
The Account Executive provides strategic oversight for direct marketing fundraising programs for a portfolio of several nonprofit organization clients. The Account Executive also serves as a client relationship manager and works within a team to deliver direct marketing fundraising programs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analytics & Budgeting:
- For small-mid clients, draft client annual plans with Account Lead support
- For large clients, draft expenses for annual plans with Account Lead support
- Ensure client’s Tableau reporting is accurate and up to date
- Interpret and present program and project results
- Work with list brokers/modeling vendors to develop list plans
- Oversee client’s annual expenses
Client Service:
- For small-mid clients, provide strategic oversight of client marketing fundraising projects, understanding their role in advancing overall client program strategy
- For large clients, provide strategic oversight for a portion of client fundraising projects, understanding their role in advancing overall client program strategy
- Oversee production management and creative process for projects
- For small-mid clients, prepare and present strategy decks with oversight from Account Lead
- For large clients, draft and assist in presenting strategy decks with support from Account Lead
- Oversee execution of year-long direct marketing schedules
- Direct and guide copywriters and designers to ensure creative for each project is aligned with overall project and program strategy
- Manage account and production team service delivery to the client, including problem-solving and accountability for errors
- For integrated clients, coordinate with Digital Director to develop multi-channel campaigns and wrap-up decks
- Gain familiarity with clients’ missions, programs and institutional voice and work with Account Lead to identify topics, issues, and projects for fundraising appeals
- Serve as liaison with client contacts, ensuring day-to-day service satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to expand client work/scope with support of Account Lead
- Mentor managers, coordinators, or assistants; other team members
- Assist with new business proposals and presentations as requested
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in one of the following areas of work: Nonprofit fundraising and/or advocacy; direct marketing, including telemarketing, online and/or grassroots organizing
- Required experience & knowledge:
- Proficiency working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Demonstrated effective use of digital tools to manage internal and external workflow and communication (including email, chat, zoom, and online workflow tool)
- Production knowledge
- Experience with nonprofit fundraising and/or advocacy

- A starting salary range of between $75,000 - $82,000, with performance evaluations and review of salary at least annually
