Title: Contracted Individual & Group Counselor
Status: 1099 Only

Location: On-Site, Santa Rosa, CA
Summary of Work:
The Contracted Individual & Group Counselor will be responsible for providing general individual and group counseling sessions 2-3 times per-day, or as needed by the program being supported. Contractors are supervised by the Site Director and/or the Assistant Site Director.
Scope of Work:
1. Work with clients on an individual basis and in a group setting to deliver daily/weekly counseling sessions.
2. Responsible for delivering a variety of mental health services which may include individual and group treatment, crisis intervention, and assessment.
3. Actively communicate with the supervising Site Director and/or Assistant Site Director to ensure program requirements are met where it intersects with the scope of work.
Required Skills:
1. Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods (deliver counseling sessions).
2. Ability to type approximately 45 words per minute.
3. Cooperatively work with other staff in a team environment.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Written communications should be accurate in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
5. Ability to work in a stressful environment, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and to meet established deadlines.
6. Intermediate - Advanced computer skills with regard to MS Office programs, and client health records (My Evolve).
Qualified Contractors must have one of the following:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- AOD Certificate
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology), Ph.D. or similar licensure from the state in which services are being provided – California.
And:
- Current CPR Certification
- Any other certifications (such as First Aid)
- Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI), Nation’s Finest as additional insured
Education:
- Master's degree or higher in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university – preferred*
Pay:
$65.00 – $75.00 per-hour – DOE and qualifications. Please state desired rate in cover letter.
As a contracted role, this position is not benefits eligible, and will be responsible for the necessary training, equipment/supplies, and taxes. This individual will receive a 1099, not a W2.
