As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for a skilled Tech PM that specializes in clinical Data Projects. 


You will lead and manage clinical data projects, focusing on the integration of Cerner systems and the development of clinical use cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT, particularly with Cerner EMR/EHR systems, and a proven track record of managing projects that enhance clinical workflows, including initiatives like Length of Stay (LOS) optimization, discharge planning, and patient flow dashboard development. 


 

Key Responsibilities:


 

Project Management:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of clinical data integration projects involving Cerner systems.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage project risks and issues.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including clinical staff, IT professionals, and external vendors, to ensure successful project delivery.

 Technical Leadership:

  • Oversee the technical aspects of Cerner integration projects, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise in designing and implementing solutions for clinical use cases such as Length of Stay, discharge planning, and patient flow dashboards.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and best practices for optimizing clinical data integration and workflow efficiency.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clinical leaders, IT teams, and external partners.
  • Facilitate regular communication and reporting on project status, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Gather and document requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable project plans and technical specifications.

 

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure all projects adhere to healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices, including data security and patient privacy (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to guarantee the integrity and reliability of integrated clinical data systems.
  • Conduct project evaluations and post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in healthcare IT and clinical data integration.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management practices, technical solutions, and clinical outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members and promote a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on clinical data projects and Cerner system integration.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Cerner EMR/EHR systems and their integration with other clinical and administrative systems.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations, including Length of Stay, discharge planning, and patient flow.
  • Familiarity with data integration technologies, interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and healthcare data analytics.

Project Management Skills:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Certifications: 

PMP, PMI-ACP, or relevant certifications in project management and healthcare IT are highly desirable.
