Qualifications

We are looking for an individual who thrives within a team environment, while also self-sufficient to perform with minimal supervision. In addition, the candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years buying and planning experience with broadcast, cable and syndication 
  • Experience using Strata View, SBMS, and Eleven for media planning and order management (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft office properties
  • Advanced understanding of Nielsen ratings 
  • Strong understanding of local markets and how they interact with national markets
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Experience monitoring, optimizing and posting live campaigns 
  • Effective time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor and a team player 
Requirements

Responsibilities

The Planning Strategist is responsible for the planning and management of media plans. Responsiblities include, but are not limited to:

  • Become an expert in the entire sales and operations workflow to effectively communicate internally and externally with partners and clients
  • Collaborate with Sales and other internal teams to provide strategic recommendations based on client specifications 
  • Negotiate with media partners to meet client goals and provide efficiently priced proposals
  • Build strategic media plans utilizing Strata and proprietary tools, data, and research
  • Provide planning insight, pricing scenarios, and plan revisions as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams on campaign analysis and optimization
  • Maintain partnership database by recording all activities, transactions, and communications in real time
  • Work closely with Traffic, Ad Services, and Accounting departments to help in the management of accounts, including weekly reporting, traffic confirmations, and invoice reconciliation
