Description

The Housing Education Specialist is responsible for providing education and coaching for renters as part of CVOEO’s Housing & Family Support Program, which assists families in transitioning and remaining in permanent housing. This position requires delivering in-person and online workshops for renters, providing skill-building information and resources related to renter's rights and responsibilities and financial capability and engaging in one-on-one coaching to help strengthen housing stability and landlord/tenant relationships.  The Housing Education Specialist supports the mission of the Housing Advocacy Program (HAP) and CVOEO in furtherance of justice and empowerment of low-income people and people in protected classes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education or human services, plus two to four years related experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired. Skilled at conducting training / workshops with diverse groups; skills coaching experience desired. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
