We are searching for an attentive, doting kennel attendant to oversee the well-being of the animals in our care. The kennel attendant's responsibilities include cleaning cages, administering medication, and providing animals with food and water. You will also provide information to clients and schedule appointments for boarding.

Our kennel is a brief walk away from our Lake Forest Animal Hospital. We're proud to have multiple playrooms, fenced in yards and can offer one-on-one playtime. We also have daycare for dogs who love interaction.  Open 7am- 7pm, 7 days a week.  

 Summary of Responsibilities 

• Feeding and Watering: Ensure animals receive proper nutrition and hydration according to schedules.
• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in cages, runs, and related areas.
• Observing Health: Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and promptly report any concerns.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as directed by veterinarians.
• Exercise and Playtime: Provide exercise and companionship for animals.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of animals’ care.

• The Kennel Attendant will be required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. 
• The position may also require bending, stooping, and kneeling. 
• A passion for animals.
•  Weekends and holidays required.
• Previous experience caring for animals will be advantageous.
