Bierman Autism Centers is looking for talented individuals to join our Accounts Receivable team!  This position can be Corporate based in Indiana or remote within the Central or Eastern Time Zone.

Position Description:The Accounts Receivable Specialist has the primary responsibility to generate and post invoices, post payment receipts, reconciliation, and issue resolution. With strong organizational and communication skills, the Billing and AR Specialist is a key member of the team, maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely, complete and accurate submission of claims, corrected claims and secondary claims to medical insurance carriers
  • Follow up and resubmission of claims as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with payors
  • Monitor and report on aging of accounts receivable for claim denials, escalating systemic issues internally and externally until resolved
  • Posting of collections to practice management software
  • Processing remittance from payors
  • Address questions and concerns related to billing and open balances on bills and invoices and ensure all questions are answered in a timely manner
  • Recommend process improvements in the areas of billing, payor relations and compliance
  • Analyze data to find issues and trends
Requirements

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with healthcare services and familiarity with working with providers and third-party payors
  • Experience with Central Reach and knowledge of ABA is highly preferred
  • Highly organized and structured thinker who lives for the details and thrives in the weeds

  • Resilience to purse projects until completion

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Basic & Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting at a desk

Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full Time
