Description

Under general supervision administrative personnel, the Case Manger will liaise with the attorneys and record retrieval personnel. Coordinate to ensure that the care plan to treat the patients is carried out properly and that it has the desired result.


JOB FUNCTIONS

Case Managers are responsible for the maintenance, compliance, and processing of patient case files. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Process incoming order and create patient accounts. Link accounts to representing attorney, obtain Letter of Protection and confirm case supports recommended treatment.

Assign task to scheduling team to schedule treatment.

• Contact attorney's during the life of their client case to discuss case updates, medical treatment status, and answer billing questions,

• Assist with Medical and billing requests from attorneys and Third-party record retrieval companies.

• Process subpoena requests for records, complete affidavits, package medical and billing records, invoices, notarize and mail them out prior to deadlines.

• Maintain a strong focus on patient medical treatment and ensure patients are compliant with plan prescribed by treating doctors and schedule when necessary • Responsible for processing/negotiating settlement reduction requests and tracking/requesting payment on settled cases.

• Review all mail, email, and incoming faxes, filing, drafting correspondence to clients, medical providers and adjusters as needed

• Handle high call volume and frequent attorney contact

• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma, Associate Degree and/or certificate program preferred.

• Training and experience: Preferred three years of medical clinic administrative or medical experience preferred. Internet, email, MS Office and data entry skills required.

Unless otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification required.

• Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of patient and client information.

• Ability to pass state/federal background security check

• Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members.

• Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner.

• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

• Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology.
