Description

  JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting CCAR Program, PPAP process, back-up to auditing positions and performs additional support functions as required (investigation reviews of products, etc.)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PPAP

  • Drive PPAP processes at siffron Twinsburg site assisting Engineering, Sales and Quality in approval process.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as needed for timely PPAP sample review and approval
  • Occasionally conduct on-site supplier PPAP reviews includes travel when necessary

Customer Support

  • Perform CCAR (customer complaints) investigations assigned to Twinsburg quality to resolution and implement corrective actions

Quality

  • Coordinate mating parts and color chip activities needed for siffron supply base
  • Investigate quality issues and support corporate quality working with suppliers for problem resolution
  • Support other quality needs as assigned by manager

  SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

  • Back-up support coverage for receiving inspection at Twinsburg distribution center
  • Assist siffron quality team with needed training on quality processes  
Requirements

 PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Successful and timely completion of all assigned tasks and objectives.
  • Effective problem solving through use of 8D/5 WHY/CAR tools and utilize critical thinking techniques.
  • Effective communication, both inside and outside of the department.
  • Attendance and punctuality record. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of quality assurance experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

SKILLS (Language, Mathematical, Reasoning, Other)

  • Ability to use computer equipment and software applications (Microsoft office products, siffron quality system software).
  • Strong experience to use calibrated measuring equipment including a VMM, caliper, weight scales, and all basic quality tools.
  • Familiar with ANSI sampling plans and general quality theories outlined by ASQ.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Structured, systematic work skills and habits required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS

  • ASQ Certification Preferred or 1-2 years quality inspection experience

  WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Able to travel domestically to suppliers and siffron partners for audit and inspections as required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Lifting due to inspection of product (to 50 lbs.)
  • Standing/stooping while inspecting product.
  • High energy level to meet deadlines/schedule. 
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with overtime.
