The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled IT Security Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our corporate vulnerability management program. The ideal candidate will have a solid IT background, experience in IT project management, and familiarity with NIST 800/PCI standards. This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the continental United States. 


What You Will Do

Vulnerability Management:

  • Assist with the management and execution of the corporate vulnerability management program.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve vulnerabilities within the network and system environments.
  • Collaborate with Corporate IT teams to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities.

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize knowledge of network and system administration to support vulnerability management efforts.
  • Implement security measures and controls in compliance with NIST 800 and PCI standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.

IT Project Management:

  • Lead and manage IT security projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Track project progress and report on key milestones and deliverables.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure adherence to NIST 800/PCI standards within the organization.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare documentation and reports to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support security initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel regarding security issues.
  • Provide training and guidance on security best practices to team members.
Requirements

  

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • 3+ years of experience in IT, preferably in information security 
  • Experience with an active vulnerability management program; Qualys experience is a plus but not required.
  • Background in Information Technology with knowledge of network and system administration.
  • Proven experience in IT project management.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800/PCI standards.
  • Ability to pass a Federal background check.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to security challenges.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Salary Description
$80,000 to $90,000 annually
