We are currently looking to add a Structures Engineering Designer to our team. As a Structures Engineering Designer, your responsibilities will include:


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for reinforced concrete, foundations and retaining structures, pre-stressed/post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, reinforced masonry, timber, and concrete repair & restoration
  • Gain experience in the application of appropriate structural engineering principles, including building application of vertical & lateral forces (wind & seismic), mechanics of structures, finite element analysis (FEA), and structural dynamics of buildings
  • Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems
  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer.
  • May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers
  • Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks
  • Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required on assigned tasks
  • Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
  • Conduct special inspections of Structural Systems (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood)
  • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports
  • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals
Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering
  • 3-6 Years Experience
  • PE License a plus
