Job Summary:

Responsible for safeguarding the safety and quality practices onsite. Support the total quality function of the site. Must consistently monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. Ensure compliance with standards, identify issues, recommend solutions, and create quality documentation. Enforce data is collected, verified, and reported to ensure consistent product is produced. Facilitate containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for all quality escapes. Undertakes other responsibilities assigned by company management. Responsible for safeguarding the safety and quality practices as well as external agency requirements are adhered to at the site of assignment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Implement with management Quality Policy and Control Manual. Monitor facility adherence to both.
  • Establish the criteria for monitoring products against agreed standards.
  • Develop and maintain systems for reporting test results on a consistent basis.
  • Complete reports for management and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop design, manufacturing, and testing documentation
  • Coordinate and perform inspections of raw materials and finished products, applying appropriate quality assurance testing models
  • Identify the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions
  • Support in training and management of all QC support.
  • Cross functional support with production personnel, maintenance personnel, management, and all other parties as needed.
  • Participate in cross functional team building and continuous improvement activities.
  • Initiate and refine quality procedures within all manufacturing departments.
  • Train production personnel on expectations for product quality.
  • Take ownership of and be proactive in all QC related matters.
  • Lead team in transformation of quality issues to process improvement.
  • Maintain records and data regarding the quality testing of all products.
  • Investigate, review, and report on RMAs relating to QC issues.


Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field
  • Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis
  • Great attention to detail 
  • Team spirit
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate. MS Office software experience.  
  • ISO Experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of measurement processes to check product.
  • Knowledge of various quality management and implementation systems.
  • Self-starter, ability to manage others, ability to work independently with little supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Safety glasses and ear plugs are required areas of the facility.
  • Must have the ability to be on one’s feet and walk long stretches of the day
  • Work will be performed indoors and outdoors as required.
  • Workplace environment will feature hot temperatures.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
