Quality Analyst

Description

The Quality Analyst collaborates with IT staff to identify issues within business and system requirements, create test plans, execute test cases, and report defects. This role is essential in ensuring that systems and software meet quality expectations as well as the needs of customers, both internal and external, in alignment with PLTW’s strategic objectives. Occasional travel required.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute test cases and scripts based on business and system requirements, and design documentation.
  • Lead the documentation and maintenance of testing strategies, best practices, plans, and procedures. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with a team of Business Analysts, UX Designers, development resources, and other Quality Analysts
  • Identify, record, and track defects to resolution.
  • Conduct regression testing, performance testing, smoke testing, and stress testing as needed.
  • Document and communicate test results and provide feedback to IT Team and business stakeholders as needed.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation, validation, delivery, and adoption of defined solutions.
  • Identify and recommend potential opportunities to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within area of expertise.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field of study, or equivalent related experience. 
  • Knowledge of quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with issue tracking systems (i.e. JIRA, Confluence) and Microsoft Office products.
