We are currently looking for a passionate Frontend Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of fitness applications. You will join our unique team that builds applications for web, mobile, server, and desktop. You will be responsible for building what the user sees and interacts with.

The duties of this job require a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. The job environment is structured, and job expectations are clear. While the pace of the work is faster than average, quality is never compromised. The focus of communication and organizational relationships is based on technical expertise. The work requires specialized technical problem-solving and ingenuity while working within approved organizational systems and technology, and the demonstration of the values of integrity, quality, and caution. 


New ideas and concepts are also important but will be carefully analyzed and tested before communication and adoption. The position encompasses a defined span of control and opportunity for someone who engenders trust, demonstrates a sense of urgency, and ensures consistent achievement of quality standards. The work requires making decisions that support company guidelines authoritatively and quickly.


This position is an on-site position unless the chosen candidate lives 50+ miles from our headquarters in Fresno, CA. In this event, the position would be fully-remote.  

Requirements

  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain future and current applications.
  • Own, drive, and execute a full software development cycle.
  • Deliver quality software by assigned deadlines.
  • Join a fast-moving team where quality and user experience come first.
  • Work in a Waterfall/Agile environment, where teamwork is always recognized and appreciated.
  • Translate UI mocks to fully functional features.
  • Write unit and integration tests.


EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Must be self-motivated and a great team player.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (TypeScript).
  • Very strong knowledge of REST API and integration patterns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • SQL database or relational database skills.


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in Flutter.
  • Experience in Vue.
  • Experience in mobile development.
  • Experience with UI/UX development.


COMPENSATION

  • Non-exempt position in California with hourly compensation ranging from $40.87 to $49.52. 
  • Final compensation will be determined and based on experience. 
  • Exemption status may vary depending on the location.

$40.87 - $49.52 hourly
