Program Lead 

POSITION SUMMARY

Program Lead is responsible for leading specialized activities in one of three key areas:

Empower Hour/P.E. – Focuses on physical activity, leadership, teamwork, and outdoor adventures.

STEM – Teaches science, technology, engineering, math, and nature-based activities.

Arts & Humanities – Leads art, music, drama, and creative expression programs.

The Program Staff ensures engaging, high-quality programming that keeps campers actively learning and participating. This position is ideal for educators, coaches, or recreation professionals who want to bring their expertise to a dynamic summer camp environment.

This is a part-time, seasonal position with structured shifts from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM with mandatory lunch. 

PAY RATE

$14 - $16 per hour (Based on experience and credentials)


Requirements

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Plans and leads daily activities in their assigned specialty area, ensuring high-quality instruction.

· Engages with children enthusiastically, making activities interactive and exciting.

· Collaborates with Lead and Assistant Counselors to integrate programming into the camp schedule.

· Adheres to all safety, cleanliness, and supervision standards.

· Recruits and coordinates outside guest presenters to enhance programming.

· Maintains a welcoming and inclusive environment, encouraging participation from all campers.

· Assists with additional camp duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be at least 18 years old.

· Certified teachers are highly preferred; individuals with experience in education, coaching, or recreation encouraged to apply.

· Strong leadership, creativity, and communication skills.

· CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
