Under limited supervision, perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained. Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
Essential Duties:
- Performs maintenance on tribal facilities and grounds.
- Assist in the overall planning for maintaining the safety and appearance of the facilities.
- Ensure that proper permits and regulations are being followed in all projects.
- Work with coworker from the Facilities Department to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner with minimal disturbance to daily work routine.
- Provide a variety of work which may include carpentry, paint, drywall repair, plumbing, minor electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting, and repair.
Additional Duties:
- Attend Tribal staff meetings and trainings as appropriate and attend continuing education as required and/or needed to fulfill job duties.

- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Education & Experience:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Three years related experience.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Must have and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Other Requirements:
- Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre-employment screening.
- Must pass background check.
Work Environment:
- The work environment includes an office environment in a controlled atmosphere building.
- Ability to work long hours in inclement weather.
- Outside work will include manual labor and the use of hand and power tools for prolonged periods of time.

Additional Information:
- Hourly, compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at $24.30 per hour.
- This position is a regular full-time position and employment is at will.
