The Nurse position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, payable in two equal payments after successful completion of 6 months and 12 months of service.

 This is a 32-hour per week position when Health Services is open, which is approximately 10 months of the year, generally September – May and the month of July. This position will be evenings/nights, 3 pm - 11 pm, 11 pm - 7 am, with every other weekend. However, you may be asked to flex shifts (days, evenings, nights, hybrid shifts, weekends, and holidays) to meet the needs of students.

The Nurse position is also available per diem with a minimum of two shifts per month requirement or as a substitute with no minimum shift requirement,

 The Health Services Nurse provides professional health care to students and coordinates continued health care with allied healthcare professionals. Applies appropriate theory from nursing and associated areas to meet and uphold the school's mission statement.  Uses a systematic approach to problem-solving in nursing practice. Contributes to the education of students with and without special needs by continuous assessment of the student, planning and providing appropriate nursing care, and evaluating outcomes of care. Uses effective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills. Maintains a comprehensive school health program as established by the Director of Health & Wellness. Assists students, families, and the school community to achieve optimal levels of wellness through appropriately designed and delivered health education. Promotes quality of care, pursues continued professional enhancement, and demonstrates professional conduct.

• Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license within the state of Massachusetts
• Current BLS certification with updates annually
• Experience in the triage process and outpatient health setting
• Ability to communicate well with students, parents, and fellow professionals
• Keen analytical skills and a detail-oriented work style
• Clinical experience with adolescent health preferred
