Lead Cook - Queenstown Harbor Resort
Description

This position reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director at our Queenstown Harbor Golf Resort and will be responsible for food preparation and handling procedures. This includes washing dishes, maintaining sanitary conditions of kitchen, coolers, organization of cooking utensils, pans and small wears adhering to a high standard of cleanliness and safety. This position requires multi-tasking. Must be dependable, punctual, able to work with minimal supervision, flexible, and able to carry tasks through to completion. 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Preparing food in a consistent manner by following recipes exactly
  • Clean as you go
  • Must have a knowledge of menu and ingredients
  • Perform assigned side-work and continual duties as scheduled
  • Following Queen Annes County health regulations for proper food handling,  

  storage of food and cleaning products

  • Assisting in inventory maintenance to ensure that there is no waste or shortages
  • Reporting all waste or losses immediately
  • Responsible for keeping floors swept, mopped and dry
  • Responsible for keeping all kitchen items degreased and polished
  • Following all OSHA guidelines for a safe workplace
  • Assist in bussing and dishwashing as required
  • Serve at special functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) to five (5) years experience required. 



 

Maryland TAM License; Food Service Sanitation Management Certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The individual must have exceptional guest service skills, be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision. Strong oral communication skills required. Must be dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule. Must have the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner. Must be able to operate a point-of-sale system. Must be able to write and translate numbers clearly and accurately and read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently.  


Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) to five (5) years experience required.
