Job Description:


As the Director of Data Science, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data and AI strategy and execution. You will lead and expand our data capabilities across Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence (BI), and Product Analytics. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on technical work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, including 4 direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's vision and market needs.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and architectures.
  • Drive data science initiatives to harness predictive analytics, AI, and machine learning for enhanced decision-making and product development.
  • Drive integration and adoption of AI Generative AI, Large Language Model (LLM), and Chatbot technologies
  • Spearhead the development of BI tools and dashboards to enable data-driven decisions across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business departments, to integrate data insights into product development and operations.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance with industry regulations, particularly in healthcare data privacy and security.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in data technologies and healthtech to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data roles with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record in data engineering, data science, BI, conversational AI, and analytics.
  • Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) techniques
  • Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) models and Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, Transformers, spaCy, NLTK)
  • Preferred experience in developing and deploying large language models, generative AI models, or chatbot systems
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, big data technologies, and AI.
  • Proficiency in data science methodologies and tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow).
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM data integration and schema design
  • Experience in healthcare data and familiarity with relevant compliance regulations (e.g. HIPAA) a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams.
