Continuum of Colorado has an exciting new opportunity for a part-time Job Coach Substitute! Being a Job Coach Substitute allows you to work one-on-one with individuals at their place of employment to help them achieve their professional goals by providing supports with the goal of moving individuals towards greater independence. This position is super flexible! Work directly with your supervisor and the individuals you coach to create a schedule that works for you (but ideally, applicants will have some weekend availability).
Requirements of Job Coaches
- Associate's degree or two years of experience and/or related education or training working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Working knowledge of the DD system, rules and regulations and DVR, preferred.
- Be able to pass and maintain certification in all-agency required training
- Knowledge of various vocational training techniques and basic behavior management principals.
- Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills; professionally and effectively communicates and interacts with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to appropriately, expeditiously and effectively resolve conflict.
- Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work
- Valid Colorado driver's license; proof of insurance; 3 years of current, consecutive driving history
- Meet our driving requirements; no suspensions/revocations in the past 3 years and no more than 2 tickets in the past 3 years

More about what you'll get to do as our Job Coach...
- Provide on-site support to individuals at community-based work sites.
- Monitor performance and coaches as needed to maintain quality of work.
- Ensure work is completed to the satisfaction of the employer.
- Ensure individuals can complete jobs as assigned and use applicable time clock systems.
- Mentor and provide employment skills training, on the job training and follow-along.
- As needed coordinate with the individual, their family and multidisciplinary team and employment supervisor to aid in the development of annual reviews and ISSP’s. Review plan regularly to ensure required supports are being met.
- Monitor and assess job-related skills and provides feedback as needed.
- Facilitate natural supports and provides consultation and education to employer/supervisor.
- Implement and document individuals' ISSPs, care plans and protocols
- Maintains contact with individuals/families/employers as necessary.
- Attends and participates in meetings; schedules and facilitates when applicable.
