TAKKION is hiring Commissioning Technicians (TA Levels 1–3) and Commissioning Leads to support wind turbine commissioning projects across North America. You’ll be part of a safety-first, integrous, transparent and quality-driven team delivering high-performance commissioning services for GE turbines.

  What You’ll Do:

• Commission, start up, and operate GE wind turbines
• Troubleshoot and maintain turbine systems (both up-tower and down-tower)
• Follow GE commissioning documentation and LOTO procedures
• Complete required documentation (commissioning checklists, timesheets, service reports)
• Safely operate fleet vehicles and attend regular on-site safety meetings
• Work at heights and travel 100% of the time
• Collaborate with commissioning leads and site teams to ensure safe, efficient execution

  TA Levels & Required Training/Certifications

All candidates must have valid certifications from the GE Renewable Energy Learning Center (Schenectady, NY):

Commissioning TA Level 1

• GE Tech Essentials & LOTO
• GE Turbine Fundamentals (1.x, 2.x, Sierra, Cypress Basic)
• Assist in commissioning activities (PCAT/FCAT) under supervision
• Support nacelle and hub commissioning

Commissioning TA Level 2

• GE Converter Fundamentals
• Perform PCAT/FCAT commissioning independently
• Oversee up-tower commissioning
• Assist TA Level 3 with troubleshooting

Commissioning TA Level 3 

· GE Advanced Troubleshooting and SCADA

· Lead full-system commissioning including SCADA and wind control systems

· Troubleshoot during turbine and park reliability testing

· Guide and support TA Level 1–2 technicians

Commissioning Lead

· GE Lead OJT Complete

· Strong Leadership Skills

· GE Advanced Troubleshooting and SCADA

· Knowledgeable in GE Turbine Controls Software

Expectations:

• High-School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using basic power tools.
• Valid driver's license. No DWI/DUI/OUI in the last 5 years.
• Ability to communicate in English Proficiently 
• Microsoft Office Experience proficiency.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb up to 300 ft. twice daily.
• GE 1.X, 2.X, 3.X, Sierra, Cypress Fundamental or Turbine Basic Certifications (required)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork
• Ability to work under challenging conditions and travel 100% of the time
• Basic wind technician certs strongly preferred
• Tower Rescue 
• Active CPR/First Aid/AED Certificate
• OSHA 10, LOTO
• Established Winda ID for confirmation. 
• GWO (BTTB, BTTM, BTTE, BTTH, ART)

Required experience: 

GE 1.X, 2.X, 3.X Basic or GE 1.X, 2.X, 3.X Turbine Fundamental Certifications
