The Molding Machine Technician is responsible for assisting with machine setups, troubleshooting due to mechanical and set up errors, overseeing fulfillment of maintenance on the machines, ensuring quality and establishing processes involved with production of molding for all Dura Supreme products.
Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm
Starting wage: $25.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors procedures and techniques utilized by machine operators.
- Works with Tooling and Maintenance to be able to troubleshoot machine maintenance and tooling changes.
- Maintains and is responsible for all Inspection of molding produced on molding machines.
- Performs all checks and adjustments in a safe working manner.
- Furnishes reports as required by the Manager.
- Reports all processes and related discrepancies and adjustments to the Manager.
- Assists in assuring proper operation of equipment and processes in all aspects of Dura Supreme.
- Establishes and maintains good housekeeping guidelines for all equipment.
- Works with assigned personnel to maximize productivity in a quality manner.
- Trains new employees and monitors the trainings needs of others the department.
Required Education, Training or Experience
- High School education or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of machine operation experience with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience manufacturing and/or including molding of wood, is preferred
- Experience with resolving machining issues due to mechanical failure
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates ability to problem solve in multi factor scenario’s
- Able to retain and demonstrate learnings from technicians, engineering and maintenance personal as process for correction is determined
- Has the ability to operate computerized machines, table saws, grinding machines, and other power and air operated tools produce wood moldings
