This role will work with all stakeholders within a territory, including and not limited to supply chain, architects, builders, and contractors. The objective of this role is to help strengthen brand awareness and educate the market while producing increased sales, year over year. The perfect candidate will have a history within the building material industry and have relationships with KDM’s of above stakeholders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute strategies to create business, increase revenue, and achieve strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with supply chain, distribution partners, builders, contractors, and architects
  • Identify potential new markets and products and develop strategies to increase product/brand loyalty
  • Maintain existing accounts and customers with positive relationship building
  • Analyze customer needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Perform jobsite sales calls with a working knowledge of building systems and help on installation trainings
  • Provide education in classroom settings to key decision makers from supply chain to architects
  • Provide strategic feedback on market conditions
  • Leverage existing marketing and technical support documentations to accommodate retail employee training, trade product knowledge workshops and individual sales calls.
  • Develop and maintain detailed working knowledge of all TimberHP products, as well as building envelope, thermal and sound performance details, and all related trends for wood-framed construction.
  • Maintain solid working knowledge of current applicable state and municipal code requirements; and coordinate practical training activities that showcase how TimberHP products can assist customers with meeting and exceeding such requirements.
Requirements

  Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • Expert time-management, organization, and follow-through skills. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with proven critical thinking skills.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills. 
  • Professional public speaking experience. 
  • Experience with promotional activities (trade shows, dealer events, etc.).
  • Must be able to work independently and show high-level initiative with minimal direction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with CRM.
  • Willingness to travel within or outside territory overnight or for multiple nights at a time, as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with TimberHP Team Members and customers.

Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Knowledge of residential and light commercial building practices and applications.
  • Previous sales experience within the building and materials industry preferred. 
  • Customer service experience 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and physical.
