COMPANY BACKGROUND

Airport Synergy Group LLC (ASG) is a Joint Venture between Avports LLC, Jacobsen|Daniels Associates LLC, and Consolidated Management Professionals. ASG brings 120+ years of collective experience in world-class commercial aviation operations. After previous cooperation and successful collaboration among its partners in the past, ASG was recently awarded the management contract to provide Property and Equipment Management Services at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), on behalf of the Tom Bradley International Terminal Equipment Co. (TBITEC). 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the PBB Manager, the PBB Equipment Manager will fill a mission-critical role within the organization by facilitating the effective day-to-day management of equipment operations across the CU Services. The PBB Equipment Manager will support the PBB Manager to inspect and monitor CU equipment and facilities, coordinate and supervise equipment maintenance vendors, manage projects, upgrades, and repairs, and respond to and mitigate any equipment related issues that may arise.

Additionally, the Equipment Manager will:

  1. Direct the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the PBBs, potable water cabinets, preconditioned air and ground power systems, electric GSE charging stations, and other equipment which may be assigned;
  2. Assist in developing and improving SOPs, contingency plans, and training agendas for the assigned CU equipment;
  3. Coordinate with maintenance vendors to implement effective staffing schedules, management and contingency plans, in addition to monitoring and managing equipment status, equipment uptime, and vendor performance;
  4. As assigned, support the PBB Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of PBBs, PCA and ground power systems, potable water cabinets, electric GSE charging stations, and other equipment which may be assigned;
  5. Develop and manage preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs, including scheduling, completion rates, and quality control;
  6. Oversee the development and implementation of training programs, inventory control systems, and quality assurance programs to optimize performance, reliability, and safety;
  7. Monitor flight schedules and coordinate equipment maintenance operations;
  8. Perform regular inspections of all CU equipment, document deficiencies, schedule and verify corrective actions; prepare a daily on-shift report of findings;
  9. Track issues from detection through resolution to ensure that all deficiencies are properly recorded and corrected;
  10. Assist the PBB Manager, Terminal Managers, and Controller in preparing annual operating and project budgets;
  11. Manage and optimize TBITEC CMMS to effectively manage the operation and maintenance of equipment and systems;
  12. Oversee document management programs to facilitate the storage and rapid retrieval of documents such as maintenance reports, inventory reports, equipment, and project status reports, incident/accident reports; develop and oversee a document archive program; and
  13. Respond to and mitigate emergencies as necessary and prepare written incident reports.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess senior-level equipment maintenance experience in an airport environment.
  • Firm understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) principles.
  • Understand the requirements and scope of the day-to-day operation.
  • Proven experience maintaining equipment and systems, such as PBB’s and related equipment, Preconditioned Air Systems (PCS), Ground Power (400Hz) Systems, Potable Water Cabinet Maintenance and water quality testing, Dual Port Charging Stations, Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), fuel pipeline hydrant system, project management, installation, refurbishment, component replacement, and other types of related aeronautical equipment.
  • Possess strong maintenance aptitude to guide O&M subcontractors with maintenance responsibilities, spare parts inventory control, rapid response to emergency repair requirements, preventive maintenance programs, equipment monitoring, diagnostics, and reporting for assigned aeronautical equipment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation principles, concepts, and applications. 
  • Local experience at LAX will be considered a plus.

COMPENSATION

  • $95,000 - $100,000 per year

Requirements


EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Five+ years of maintenance experience, with accompanying experience maintaining passenger boarding bridges required.
  • A degree in a technical field or equivalent training is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred. 
  • Must be eligible to obtain all Airport staff access and security clearances from the Authorities.
