Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in federal government contracting and business development. As a Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing and maintaining relationships with clients and partners.
Business Development consultant will be responsible for accelerating and ensuring smart measurable growth within the Defense, Intelligence and Space Force areas. The ideal candidate is a professional with experience in Marketing, Sales, Innovation, Research & Development, and Business Development with a proven record of generating Return on Investment through growth in these disciplines. Success in this role requires effective collaboration skills, a strong understanding of the market, and the drive and experience to help lead an organization through a period of growth.
The Business Development consultant will collaborate with Business Development team members, Proposal Managers and Talent Management requiring a strong commitment to working in a team environment, adaptability, sound organization skills, and the ability to manage client relationships Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to create and execute a strategic plan are key to achieve the organization’s vision and strategic direction.
What You Will Do:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in federal government contracting with a focus on DOD, Intelligence, and Space force agencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
- Create and qualify pipeline using the ASG tools and gate review process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals.
- Identify and respond to market research, sources sought, and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Work with technical teams to create white papers that generate opportunities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects by working closely with project teams and clients.
- Attend industry events and conferences to collect leads and opportunities.
What We Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- About 10 years of overall experience & minimum of 2 years experience in federal government contracting and business development.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement regulations and processes.
- Proven track record of success in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
