Automotive Bodywork & Painter Wanted to join our highly skilled team. The successful candidate will be responsible for colorizing, applying coatings, and protecting pieces of various shapes and sizes.
Experienced Automotive Painter Needed for Busy Foundry
Technical Skills:
- Ability to mix and apply polyester body filler
- Sand to sculpt and create form on a vast array of work including all shapes and sizes
- Excellent surface preparation skills for aluminum, bronze, and fiberglass
- Knowledge and ability to color, sand, and polish
- General understanding of high-end finishes and artwork context
- Able to consistently produce high-quality finishes
- Painting Process:
- Prepare work throughout the painting process
- May assist the Lead Painter in application of paint, primer, and clear-coats to various metals (bronze, aluminum, stainless)
Detail and Quality:
- Exceptional eye for form and detail
- Strong work ethic and focus on delivery
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
- Appreciation for the art world
- Exceptional eye for detail
- General understanding of finishes and artwork context to inform maintenance recommendations for outgoing works
- Teamwork and Handling:
- Work within a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to carefully handle completed fragile works
- Careful handling of completed fragile works to crating/delivery teams

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in body work, paint (i.e.: sculptural, automotive, etc.)
- Other metal finishing & fabrication experience a plus;
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision;
- Excellent team player;
- Strong work ethic and focus on delivery.
