This role will be performed onsite in the Chicago office.


Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners (“AJCP”) is seeking an Interior Architect who is passionate about space planning to support its rapid growth across various investment platforms focused on the hospitality, mixed-use, and single-family rental sectors.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Primary tasks:

  • Organize the ID team’s design intent (renderings, concept images, sketches) to share with outside architects in order to generate drawings for construction. 
  • Assist with reviewing outside architect/ consultant work ensuring that interior design is translated appropriately into production drawings. 
  • Assist in the construction administration of a project through shop drawing/ GC submittal reviews and by responding to GC RFIs.  
  • Assist with generating and managing the finish, lighting, and plumbing schedules.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Supplement the rendering process by developing, communicating, and reviewing architectural details with third party renderers.
  • Supplement the design team’s efforts of sourcing interior architectural finishes by assisting with vendor coordination of material options as needed.
  • Assist in developing FF&E plan studies of interior spaces.
  • Develop CAD drawings and/or SketcUp models as necessary to articulate interior design intent to outside architects/ consultants.
  • Assist ID team with developing technical applications of interior scope through building code or ADA research.
  • Act as day-to-day client contact for project design development and design related issues both internally and externally.
  • Participate in project related travel as necessary. 
  • Participate in industry events, forums, and conferences as required.

Requirements

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Preferred 

  • Licensed architect or in the process of becoming licensed.
  • Experience with Adobe suite including Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Experience with 3D modeling through SketchUp or other modeling software.
  • Experience in hospitality, multi-family, restaurants, etc.
