Description

Her Pregnancy and Life Assistance Network (Her PLAN) is a project of the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Education Fund that strengthens and grows the pro-life safety net. The project works across seven categories of care that encompass services that address the reasons women resort to abortion. The program currently offers resource directories in 29 states and full-time community coordinators in 10 states.


Her PLAN will soon launch an exciting new project to enhance direct client care through case management. Under the leadership of the Director of Client Care, Her PLAN will offer grants to qualified pregnancy centers who will: assess client needs, develop comprehensive case plans and support clients throughout their pregnancy and parenting journey. The project will pilot in 1-2 states with grants to several independent locations. The Director of Client Care will develop partnerships, create training materials and issue grant opportunity announcements to launch pilot locations. They will facilitate grantee selection, train grant locations, provide ongoing support and collect comprehensive deidentified data to inform future program development.


The Director of Client Care will serve as a senior member of the Her PLAN team with program development and execution responsibilities. The position will include supervisory responsibility as the program grows. Candidates for the position must be innovative, experienced in case management, and have a deep commitment to serving the unborn and their mothers in the most difficult circumstances.

  

This is a full-time position reporting to the Her PLAN Executive Director.

  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities   

  • Execute a program of community-based client care through grants to select pregnancy help centers for case management.
  • Issue grant opportunity announcements and facilitate selection of grantees.
  • Set standards for qualified case managers and service to clients with the greatest need and ensure standards are met.
  • Create case management curriculum and train grantees to ensure high quality case plan development and execution.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with a detailed feedback loop with grantees to inform

                    1. Curriculum and training improvement,

                    2. Future grant opportunity announcements,

                    3. Her PLAN Directory development,

                    4. SBA of opportunities for state and federal policy changes to benefit clients, and

                    5. Her PLAN of opportunities for charitable programs to meet client needs.

  • Oversee and manage the client care program budget to produce maximum outcomes with available resources.
  • Ensure innovation and professionalism in program development and execution.
  • Maximize the use of technology to produce high quality data-driven reports.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Prepare donor reports and other materials as requested.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in social work, public health or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years providing comprehensive case management to clients with a high degree of need. Strong preference for experience serving pregnant women and/or moms with children under age 2.
  • Minimum 2 years management experience overseeing case managers.
  • Experience writing grant proposals and/or working under a public or private grant with significant reporting requirements.
  • Commitment to leveraging both faith-based and government resources to meet client needs.

Supervisory Responsibility   

This position will have supervisory responsibility as the program grows and staff is required.

  

Work Environment   

Preferably based out of the Shirlington, VA headquarters, but high-quality remote work candidates will be considered. Remote staff are required to conduct work from a professional home office and travel to headquarters in Arlington, VA at least quarterly.

  

Physical Demands   

Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. May be required to lift objects up to 20 lbs.

  

Position Type/Expected Hours

This position is a full-time position. Hours are typically 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM ET, Monday-Friday.

  

Travel   

This position will require travel to case management locations and the Shirlington, VA headquarters.
