The Focus On Renewal Sto-Rox Neighborhood Corporation (FOR) was founded in 1969. FOR founders led a group of mobilized citizens and community activists to create an umbrella organization for much needed social services now ranging from food security, nutrition, early childhood education, support groups, crime prevention and mental health services. Also included are arts programs for all ages and access to the Sto-Rox Public Library. FOR has now grown to house 30+ staff at four locations throughout McKees Rocks and Stowe Township. The Organization provides support to the people in our neighborhood through programs for all ages designed to develop resilient, contributing members of a thriving community. We work with a wide range of partners to ensure high quality programming is accessible to all 13,000 residents of the Sto-Rox Community.
Description:
The University of Pittsburgh Family Foundations Early Head Start program in partnership with Focus on Renewal is seeking a Program Coordinator to ensure high quality infant/toddler, in-home services to expectant families and families with children birth to three. This position works as part of Program Development Team and the Grantee’s central office and is responsible for the implementation of all the Early Head Start standards, an infant mental health relationship-based philosophy, reflective supervision of home visiting staff, and for the coordination and management of all aspects of the program in the McKees Rocks and surrounding communities. In addition, this position is responsible for working with the ERSEA Coordinator to implement recruiting strategies to ensure full enrollment and maintain a waitlist.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Child Development, Social Work or related degree or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years working in the Family Foundations EHS program.
· The candidate must have experience with home visiting, working with low-income families, with reflective supervision
· excellent oral and written skills
· strong organization and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team
· Act 33/34 Clearances, FBI Fingerprints and National Sex Offender clearances are required.
Salary:
$56,000-60,000
