A successful Business Analyst will build a strong working knowledge of business and technical requirements that support our products and data. They will also have strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.
You should be analytical and an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
- Perform analysis of business and technical needs, documenting requirements and system logic.
- Work competently in some phases of systems analysis and consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Develop and update technical documentation.
- Support product vision workshops.
- Work with stakeholders, Product Owners, and agile team members to develop and prioritize concise and testable epics, features, and user stories.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Minimum of 4- 7 years related experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. With ten years of general information technology experience and at least eight years of specialized experience, a degree is not required.
- Candidate must reside in the United States.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst.
- Proven abilities to be collaborative and take initiative and be innovative.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; residing in the United States
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
- Federal Government contracting work experience.
- Experience work with the SAFe methodology.
eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager. Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 25% per year.
