We are looking for a seasoned Senior Content Marketing & Communications Manager to lead our content and communication initiatives, amplifying our brand's voice and driving engagement across all channels. The ideal candidate will be a master storyteller, a data-driven strategist, and project manager who can develop and execute high-impact content campaigns that resonate with our special district audience.


Responsibilities


Strategy Development:

  • Develop and refine the overarching content marketing and communications strategy, aligning it with the company's goals and target audience.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Create a comprehensive editorial calendar outlining topics, formats, channels, and publishing schedules for all communications.
  • Set measurable goals and KPIs to track the effectiveness of content and communication initiatives.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Lead the creation of compelling and informative content, including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, ebooks, case studies, social media posts, press releases, newsletters, internal memos, presentations, and more.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as product, sales, and customer success, to develop content that supports their objectives.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and organic traffic.

Communications and Public Relations:

  • Develop and execute PR strategies to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
  • Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
  • Manage media inquiries and requests.

Distribution and Promotion:

  • Utilize various distribution channels, including social media, email marketing, paid advertising, and PR, to promote content and reach target audiences.
  • Track and analyze content and campaign performance to identify areas for improvement 
  • and optimization.

Event Management:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows, conferences, webinars, and other industry events.
  • Manage event budgets, logistics, vendor relationships, and on-site operations.
  • Develop and execute pre- and post-event communication strategies.

Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed (typically no more than twice a quarter)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is advantageous.
