Description


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to operate our Homag drilling machine in our cabinet manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have technical proficiency and experience in operating similar machinery. Experience with CAD software is highly desired. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating the Homag drilling machine to produce high-quality cabinet components according to specifications.

Requirements

Operate and maintain machinery used in the cabinet manufacturing process, including but not limited to:

  • Set up and operate the Homag drilling machine to drill holes and perform other necessary tasks in the manufacturing of cabinet components.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and precision, making adjustments as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator, preferably with experience operating a Homag drilling machine or similar equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret and work from CAD drawings and specifications.
  • Technical expertise in operating machinery used in cabinet manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of cabinet manufacturing processes and materials is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Experience working with high tech machinery and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fat-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Education and Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational training or certification in machining, woodworking, or related field a plus.
  • Additional training or coursework in CAD software preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Extended periods of standing, bending, and operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.


Salary Description
$20 - $23/hr
