Description
Manufacture, modify and fabricate individual components or entire assemblies to support production, quality, R&D, and engineering teams. Use of conventional mills and lathes along with CNC machining centers and other specialty tools such as surface grinders and EDM machines.
Work with a wide and outstanding range of materials produced from multiple manufacturing processes to manufacture or fabricate finished parts. Produce finished parts with accuracy and speed by applying custom fixturing, setups and holdings along with accurate tooling selections and CAM software.
Requirements
- Punctuality and Attendance are crucial for success ?
- Works independently on complex machining tasks ?
- Use CAD files, engineering drawings, sketches mating parts or sample parts to build a plan for fixturing, order of operations and required tolerancing. ?
- Designs and fabricates holding fixtures to be used in the machining of raw materials, castings or other components. ?
- Selects and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, EDM’s, and grinders. ?
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, surface feet per minute, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media for optimized speed and accuracy. ?
- Independently programs tool paths for optimum outcomes ?
- Monitors machining process to ensure accurate parts are being produced. Makes adjustments or corrections applying machine controls or machine programming to reduce rework or potential scrap. ?
- Verify finished component is within the engineering specification based on the drawing or stated tolerances. ?
- Communicates with team to describe manufacturability issues and offers alternative solutions that meet the original design intent. ?
- Keep accurate records for work done within work order system. ?
- Willingness to work some overtime, if needed.
