Description

We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Bilingual Behavioral Health Specialist for our Serving Youth in their Communities (SYNC) program. In this role, you will be responsible for providing behavioral services for youth/young adults, ages 0-21 in a variety of community-based settings (i.e. home, school, afterschool programs, etc.), which may require sessions to occur solely in the primary language of the youth/young adult and/or caregiver. The Behavioral Health Specialist will model & support clients with developing coping and social skills, and emotional regulation to promote independence and reduce the risk of needing a higher level of care. Additionally, they will collaborate with clients, families, and other service providers to identify strengths and develop behavior management plans to help stabilize the youth/young adults in their home, school, and community settings.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Service or Educational Field with minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s mental health, addiction, foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice, and/or a related human services field.
  • Fluency (conversational and written) in required language based on program need.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to provide services in an array of settings, which may occur in the youth/young adult’s home after school hours.
  • Ability to travel to schools, homes, and community-based locations.
