Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with disabilities
- Provide specialized physical education instruction to students with disabilities
- Collaborate with other educators and parents to ensure that each student's needs are being met
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and other educators
- Ensure that all equipment and facilities are safe and appropriate for students with disabilities
- Communicate effectively with students' families to provide updates on progress and strategies for home support.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school based team meetings to advocate for students' physical education needs
- Remain current with developments in adapted physical education by attending workshops, conferences and continuing education courses.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field
- State certification in Adaptive Physical Education
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques
