SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall implementation of complex grid scale solar, wind and storage power plants.
The Project Manager leads and prioritize the project team to deliver safe, on budget and on time projects.
This business-oriented position necessitates a broad industry knowledge including Power Marketing, Permitting, Land Control, Interconnection, Transmission, Project Finance, Procurement, Engineering and Construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned as needed)
- The Project Manager leads all project planning and implementation activities including budgeting, scheduling, contracting of major construction and equipment supply
- Develop project plan, staffing, scheduling, and budgeting for each phase of project execution, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Present deep-dive reviews to management team on all business areas.
- Manage changes with agility and adapt to rapidly evolving industry.
- Assess the key project risks and opportunities with the goal to limit Terra-Gen’s exposure while maintaining progress.
- Manage day to day project activities to ensure progress as planned.
- Monitor implementation of Terra-Gen safety requirements
- Responsible for the regular updates of budget and capital needs forecast.
- Coordinates weekly internal meetings with extended project team.
- Lead negotiations and contracting of the balance of plant construction contracts.
- Establish contract compliance tracker for all major agreements
- Administer key project contracts including the balance of plant, high voltage, owner supply equipment, offtake and interconnection agreements.
- Lead claims negotiation under construction and owner furnish equipment contracts.
- Works in partnership with Development department to assure a seamless transition into the implementation phase.
- Coordinate with Asset Management in the transition and turnover of the projects to Operations at commercial operation
QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Self-motivated individual committed to the project success
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience with grid scale renewable power plants
- Must have at least 2 years of successful Project Management experience with preference working for an independent power producer.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within the project and multiple projects from conception to completion.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive project budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Skilled at preparing and evaluation overall schedule
- Experienced with risk management and mitigations
- Experience as lead negotiator for large renewable construction contracts is preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE
- MBA or BS in Engineering preferred

- The Project Manager role is central to the organization and will interface with all internal Terra-Gen functions and outside stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly present and tailor to a variety of audiences.
REASONING ABILITY & DECISION-MAKING SKILLS
- Analytical thinking required to manage complex commercial and technical topics.
- The position frequently necessitate problem solving on a broad range of matters.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification maybe helpful but not required

The posted compensation is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This salary range may also be modified in the future, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
