Management Controls Inc. (MCi) is looking for a Business Development Representative who will help accelerate our growth by targeting net new prospective customers in our core and new industrial markets. You will partner with Marketing and Sales to align efforts and craft and execute outreach strategies using tools like LinkedIn, Zoom, HubSpot, and the phone to book meetings and qualify prospects for Sales. As a salaried team member in a high-paced and dynamic sales environment you will be commission-eligible with an OTE (On-Target Earnings) of $70,000-95,000.

 Management Controls is headquartered in Houston, TX. This position is open to candidates outside of Houston, within the contiguous U.S., that are able to work 100% remote. 


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Booking meetings for Sales with qualified ideal customer accounts to drive revenue pipeline and revenue
  • Partner with Sales to identify target accounts and formulate methods to gain interest for booking meetings
  • Qualification and Sales Funnel Management: Engage with leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach methods to assess their needs, qualify their potential as customers, and determine the appropriate next steps in the sales process. Manage and track leads through the sales funnel, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team, marketing department, and other stakeholders to align efforts and optimize lead generation and conversion strategies. Share insights, feedback, and market intelligence to help refine sales and marketing strategies.
  • Contact, follow up and manage inbound leads through a mix of email, calling, LinkedIn (LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to help further qualify
  • Write and send emails, build email sequences, LinkedIn messages, and notes to contacts
  • Make outbound phone calls to contacts at key target accounts
  • Identify and research potential new prospect accounts for MCi
  • Outreach and network to attract and engage contacts at key target accounts
  • Develop outreach plans and execute on them in collaboration with Sales, Demand, and Content teams
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns and events to book meeting for Sales
  • Support and conduct prospect discovery meetings for account qualification in conjunction with Sales team members
  • Build Target Lists through ZoomInfo
  • Input contacts, accounts, and leads into Salesforce and manage their status as needed
  • Maintain and report on activities log including calls, messages, emails, etc. (automated in HubSpot)  
  • Travel to conferences and attend scheduled in-person events throughout the year
Requirements

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and adept at using technologies or willing to learn
  • Naturally curious, self-motivated with a strong competitive drive
  • Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines; detail oriented
  • Naturally curious and passionate and excels in a high-energy, fast-moving team environment
