Position Description: 

This position is responsible for managing production schedules, quality standards, ensuring

compliance with company policies, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment, and

organizing the operation to improve efficiency, eliminate mistakes, increase throughput and

control costs.

Requirements
  • Manage resources to meet production, safety and quality objectives
  • Manage and develop shift supervisors and department leads
  • Assess skill sets for gaps, and recommend / provide training to ensure employees are competent in procedures/policies and plant objectives are met
  • Oversees the functions of all production activities to ensure compliance to all performance and safety standards
  • Responsible for the safety performance of the plant and takes an active role in plant safety programs
  • Address and resolve daily operational/personnel issues including but not limited to, quality, equipment downtime, labor shortages, and availability of material (raw material, tooling, supplies, etc.)
  • Encourage strong communications between departments, shifts, and all employees through regular updates
  • Assist in hiring, discipline and termination process
  • Resolve employee morale issues
  • Administer all company policies in a consistent manner, and escalate appropriately
  • Design robust, sustainable processes for material flow, resource allocation, value creation, to meet goals
  • Deploy new processes throughout the plant, teaching supervisors and leaders, creating training materials 
  • Measure the performance of processes at micro and macro levels 
  • Use measured data to continuously improve process performance

Experience & Skills:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of manufacturing experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written
  • Ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Must possess excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to think critically
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing, including machining, assembly, and testing
  • Learn professional literature to bring current best practices to bear on production challenges 
  • Understand quantitative enterprise goals and objectives for quality, delivery, cost, and growth

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related required. Related experience preferred
  • US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status
