Job Summary:


Start a new chapter in your career as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with SCSTC - Speechcom Childrens Speech Therapy Center.

SCSTC is seeking a talented COTA to join our Redondo Beach clinic's growing Occupational Therapy division.

Details: 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday

Pay: $29 - $35 per hour

Immediately hiring the right COTA to step into an established caseload!

The ideal COTA candidate is someone with great energy & pediatric experience who can immediately step into the role with an established caseload and provide the highest standards of service.

Interviews and shadowing are currently taking place - we'd like to have a new team member on board asap to avoid any gaps in service for our clients.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a background in and enjoys working with the pediatric population.
  • Is a confident therapist and motivated self starter that can operate independently.
  • Lives within a reasonable commute of Redondo Beach.
  • Able to shadow with the current therapist and take over an existing caseload.
  • Has telehealth experience treating and or providing parent coaching via ZOOM.
Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

Works with occupational therapists to plan, implement, and administer educational, vocational, and recreational programs to restore and enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments. Selects therapy activities to fit students’ needs and capabilities. Observes and records patients’ progress, attitudes, and behavior, and maintains this information in client records.

Communicates and collaborates with other health care professionals involved with the care of a student.

Instructs or assists in instructing students and families in home programs, basic living skills, and the care and use of adaptive equipment. Implements or assists occupational therapists with implementing treatment plans to help clients function independently.

Aids patients in dressing and grooming.

Assembles, cleans, and maintains equipment and materials for student use.

Demonstrates therapy techniques such as manual and creative arts or games.

Transports patients to and from the occupational therapy work area.

Performs clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, collecting data, and documenting health insurance billings.


Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree or job-related vocational training. 

CA state issued license. 


Salary Description
$29.00 - $35.00 per hour
