Description

The Process Engineer will join our production team to enhance CCT’s manufacturing processes for both efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves managing active CAPEX projects, acting as a liaison between vendors and the shop floor, and implementing engineering solutions that drive continuous improvement in our operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Evaluation & Improvement: Analyze and optimize current manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • CAPEX Project Management: Oversee CAPEX projects, coordinate with vendors and the shop floor, and establish timelines for implementation and completion.
  • ROI Justification: Develop return on investment (ROI) justifications for proposed projects during budget planning.
  • Project Proposal: Identify and propose new projects that enhance shop floor operations.
  • Workflow Improvement: Collaborate with area managers to streamline workflows through automation, improved inventory management, and enhanced task ergonomics, aiming to reduce scrap and increase efficiency.
  • New Product Trials: Lead new product trials, including the creation of pre-trial documentation and post-trial action plans.
  • 6S Program Implementation: Develop and implement a 6S program, reviewing it monthly with area managers.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions for production-related customer complaints.
  • Engineering Drawings: Create engineering drawings to support process documentation or assist in quoting parts to fabrication shops.


Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Education: BS Degree in an Engineering discipline required.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Knowledge: Experience in an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is a plus.
