The Orthopaedics Licensed Practical Nurse II is responsible for providing nursing care to all Orthopaedic patients as well training all new hire employees. The Orthopaedic LPN II also represents Pinehurst Surgical Clinic at the Rockingham, Sanford, Raeford, and Wound Clinic locations. The LPN II is also responsible for working with the department manager to relay information to staff and assist in compliance and implantation of Clinical Experience initiatives.
The working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday but the employee will need to be available to work Mondays and Fridays at 6 am to assist and recover Kyphoplasties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Patient Satisfaction/Responding to Patients: Return patient calls promptly, Notify Patient of test results in a timely manner, Provide clean and comfortable environment for patients.
- Perform all duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Relay information to the Department Manager
Electronic Medical Records & Practice Management Tasks:
- Input charges, notes etc. into Touch works.
- E-Fax and call prescriptions.
- Duplicate Medication Report.
- Duplicate Problem Report.
Maintain rooms, equipment and supplies:
- Clean rooms and change linens per clinic policy.
- Sterilize and clean equipment and supplies per established protocols
- Ensure maintenance of equipment is maintained.
Safety: Ensure Patient & Staff Safety:
- Follow OSHA guidelines.
- Follow all PSC policies when caring for patients.
- Provide wheelchairs and assist patients with ambulation as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school of nursing
- Hold and Maintain current NCBON LPN License
- Hold and Maintain current BLS certification
- Willingness to participate on clinic code team as needed.
