Position Summary: Assists with the daily petroleum retail pricing, has a working knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements, and helps coordinate UST repairs and overall environmental compliance. Additionally, this position provides assistance in all matters related to the supply and sales of Retail Petroleum.


General Purpose: Responsible for assisting with daily petroleum retail pricing. Maintains knowledge of Underground Storage Tanks (UST’s), environmental regulations, requirements, and assists in UST repair coordination and overall environmental compliance. Is the secondary back-up for fuel dispatching to all locations and interfacing with common carriers. Has contact with all petroleum suppliers and terminal owners and assists with risk management of procurement.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to company approved accounting procedures
  • Promotes and is an advocate for “Safety”
  • Seeks, promotes and implements “Best Practices”
  • Acts as company liaison in public forums that is consistent with company objectives and culture
  • Assist with daily petroleum retail pricing.
  • Monitor petroleum contractual obligations, inventory levels and delivery of fuel
  • Provide back-up for monitoring, inventory levels and delivery of fuel to all locations
  • Adheres to the written hedging and risk management strategy of the company
  • Monitors all alerts pertaining to fuel logistics, product specification compliance, and fuel related equipment
  • Maintains knowledge of underground storage tanks (USTs)
  • Maintains knowledge of UST regulations and requirements
  • Assists in organizing UST repairs
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or the equivalent combination of industry experience and education 
  • Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Must have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel daily between all Family Express locations or other non-Family Express locations when necessary

  • Direct sales experience

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Required to be able to read documents and computer screens.
  • Work Environment: Must have flexibility to work all shifts, all days of the week, when necessary. Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures. Exposure to chemical and cleaning solvents.
