Graduate Assistant- Men's Gymnastics

Greenville University is searching for a dynamic graduate assistant (GA) for our Men’s Gymnastics program. 


Two academic years commitment (renewal for each semester is based on satisfactory performance) and some evening and weekend work required. 


The GA will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the men’s gymnastics program, as well as secondary responsibilities assigned by the Director of Athletics. A strong faith base and commitment to the mission of Greenville University are essential.

Compensation includes a stipend, and a tuition waiver for a master’s program at Greenville University.

To be eligible for the Graduate Assistant position, applicants must complete the Greenville University graduate program application, receive provisional acceptance, and enroll in a Greenville University graduate program.  This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship as all Greenville University Graduate Programs are offered online only.

Requirements

· Assist in all areas of university team training.

· Assist in the community gymnastics program including instruction and supervision.

· Assist in scheduling, recruiting, promotions (including social media), and fundraising for all programming.

· Assist in competition responsibilities (for all programming).

· Assist in other program responsibilities as assigned by the Head Men’s Gymnastics Coach.

· Spiritual development and mentorship of athletes.

· Provide game management/event operations support for a sport outside of men’s gymnastics as assigned.

· Provide administrative support for Greenville University Athletic Department special events such as the Hall of Fame and Golf Scramble as assigned.


Graduate Assistant’s (GA) are students, not employees of the university. 

· GA’s may not hold other on-campus employment. 

· GA’s will maintain continuous enrollment in the degree program at all times

· GA’s must maintain an accumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.0 

· Tuition scholarship, stipend, and meals are subject to applicable taxes.

Requirements

Required Skills:

· GA’s must apply, be accepted, and enroll in graduate programs.

· GA’s must be able to live and work in the USA (no student Visa available).

· Perform duties as described in this job description.

Education or Certification:

· Bachelor’s Degree and acceptance into Graduate Program.

Required Experience:

· Knowledge of all aspects of competitive college gymnastics and management of age level class programs.

· Competitive college gymnastics experience preferred but not required.
