Position Summary

Assist the head coach in the operation of a Division I team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


(1) Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Assist with academic ccordinator for players.
  • Team Travel.
  • Pre-games meals (home and away).
  • Facilities Scheduling.
  • Summer employment.
  • Assist with camps.

(2) Coaching Responsibilities:

  • Help coordinate and run practice sessions.
  • Work with/teach players in groups and individually.
  • Assist in game strategy.
  • Oversee pre-season weight and conditioning program.
  • Scouting and game preparations

(3) Recruiting Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate players.
  • Home visits and Offical Campus visits.
  • Correspondence with recruits (phone calls/letters).
  • Be completely knowledgeable of UDM, Horizon League and NCAA rules as they pertain to recruiting of student-athletes.

(4) Miscellaneous

  • Assist with promotions and fund raising.
  • Other projects as assigned by the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach.

(5) Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education - Bachelor degree 
  • Experience - 2-3 years’ experience with college-level program or as a high school head coach. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Physical Requirements

Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).


Work Environment

Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office


Salary/Pay Information

Commensurate with experience


Anticipated Schedule  

Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with   nights and weekends as necessary
