We are seeking a Vice President of Operations who will inspire and lead our team to achieve operational excellence and align with our strategic vision.


Key Responsibilities


  • Leadership and Development: Coach and inspire our Operations AVPs, nurturing their growth as leaders and ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence.
  • Culture Building: Promote a culture of coaching and collaboration among teams to enhance employee engagement, community involvement, and client satisfaction.
  • Strategic Implementation: Design and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation, improve utilization, and maintain consistency in project delivery.
  • Communication: Foster clear and effective communication within the Operations team and across service groups to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Planning and Execution: Lead the development and execution of location-specific elements of the annual Operations Plan.
  • Budget Management: Oversee operational expenditures, ensuring cost-efficiency and effectiveness without compromising safety and quality.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred. A business degree or certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated servant leadership and collaborative skills.
  • Extensive experience in the civil engineering or construction industry, ideally with 10 years in management or leadership roles. Candidates with fewer years of experience will be considered if they have shown substantial success in the field.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale projects, with expertise in project management, team leadership, and operational oversight.
  • Experience in strategic planning, financial budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, safety compliance, and risk management in construction settings.
  • Relevant professional licensure or certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are required.
  • Ability to travel as needed (20-40% of the time) by car, train, or air.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. and a valid Driver’s License.
