Grant Writer
Description

MTC is seeking to hire a part-time Grant Writer.  The position will be 20-hours per week.


The Grant Writer's responsibilities will include: 

  • Coordinate all aspects of grants management and administration, including scheduling, tracking, (internal and external) reporting, record-keeping and fulfillment, in concert with appropriate/relevant leadership, business/finance and program staff.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications and reports in a timely manner to meet funder guidelines/deadlines, including routing to appropriate MTC staff for input/approval/editing.
  • Maintain records of all current and prospective grantors and funding partners. 
  • Report on all grant-related activities on a schedule/in a format to be determined with the Director of Development.
  • Determine, monitor and report on progress toward grant revenue goal.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend funding opportunities with prospective corporate, foundation, and government grants.
  • Work closely with leadership, program and development staff to identify and prioritize funding needs, identify prospective funding sources and develop/deliver proposals to meet those needs.
  • Support leadership and fundraising staff in funder cultivation and relationship management.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively as a team member and project leader.
  • Perform additional duties as required. 


Requirements

Bachelor's degree with experience in grant writing and fundraising required. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office Suite are a must. Familiarity with people with developmental disabilities is a plus.   Ability to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs.   Required APD trainings after hired include HIPAA, Zero Tolerance, Direct Care Core Competencies.


Must pass Level II Background screening and drug test.
