Position: Showroom Assistant Manager

Position reports to the Showroom Manager

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Company's Retail Store. Responsible for the operation of shipping, receiving, purchasing, Electrician Installers, Customer Service, and Sales. Responsible for the development and improvement of service to customers, including policies and procedures. Responsible for improving internal communication and information flows related to servicing customers and the completion of their transactions. Responsible for bringing a team-like atmosphere throughout the company.


Responsibilities

  • As an Assistant Showroom Manager, you are responsible for delivering sales results for the showroom
  • You have a passion for our product and our customers, creating a unique experience for them
  • An Assistant Store Manager, in partnership with the Store Manager, assists with training Sales and Customer Service Associates, Merchandising, Inventory, and expense control
  • Responsible to meet or exceed all goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Resolve issues for the customer's satisfaction by working in a collaborative partnership with the Store Manager and other departments and following up with the customer on order tracking and updates
  • Ensure and maintain inventory integrity, accuracy, location, etc., 
  • Responsible for all receiving and warehouse operations
  • Ensure store merchandising standards are maintained (i.e., merchandising visuals, marketing, cleanliness, appropriate inventory levels, warehouse and storage organization, cleanliness, safety, etc.) in accordance with Company operating policies and procedures
  • Process ERP transactions (i.e., sales, returns, correction orders, exchanges, etc) in accordance with company policies and provide accurate information to clients and internal partners
  • Maintain a calm demeanor and manage issues professionally and respectfully in accordance with company standards
  • Oversee in-store recruitment, mentoring, and scheduling in conjunction with Showroom Manager 
  • Maintain and nurture existing business relationships and partnerships with outside vendors
  • Ensures accurate pricing of products being sold. Approves all discounts and exceptions to policies offered through the retail store to customers and works with department heads across channels to resolve issues as needed
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management, including working as a backup for Showroom Manager
  • Consistent ability to work both remotely and report to Corporate Headquarters or designated touchpoint, as required and in accordance with Lightology policies, CDC, and State Guidelines
  • Management retains the right, authority, and discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time
Requirements
  • Experience either managing a retail lighting store (or related environment) or have developed on-the-job experience and skill sets to step up to this responsibility level. 
  • Good communication skills are a requirement, as are good organizational skills. 
  • A college degree in a related field is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of lighting or electrical products is required. Design experience is also a strong desire.
