Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations as it pertains to accounting services
- Reconcile bank statements, assist with month-end and year-end close processes, and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Takes ownership of assigned work, remains self-accountable for personal decisions & outcomes, and honors commitments
- Actively demonstrates the ability to strengthen client relationships and begins to show traits of a Trusted Advisor
- Utilize technology to identify and recommends new efficiencies for producing client work
- Monitors and effectively controls all time on client engagements
- Participate in business development and identify opportunities to cross-sell value-added services to clients
- Continuously improve personal effectiveness by staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and accounting software utilized by clients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
- 2 - 4+ years of hands-on accounting experience with a large local, regional or national public accounting firm preferred
- Strong knowledge in accounting principles and practices and a growing knowledge of firm products and services within CAAS
- Able to anticipate problems/barriers and help develop plans to address them
- Deliver legendary service by making each interaction with our clients stand out
- Share knowledge with others to facilitate skill development and career advancement
- Great project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential clients and networking opportunities
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of client tools, systems and processes, and their practical applications
- Solid technical knowledge in accounting and business management software; e.g., QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online (Enterprise, Premier, etc), and Financial Cents are strongly preferred
- Experience with Xero, Sage, Intacct and Bill.com would be ideal
